Walk - Tank Action

On the very last day of the battle of the Somme a tank took off in Beaumont, climbed up the ridge and fought its way along the German trenches around New Munich Trench before coming back to the starting point some hours later. The track is known thanks to different regimental diaries who mentioned to have seen the tank in distance. I have walked this tour with the family of one the crew members exactly one hundred years later. Follow this moving itinerary.
